CTA partners with SecureTRANSIT for APIS Processing

September 20, 2007

Charlottesville, Virginia, June 20, 2007 - Computing Technologies for Aviation (CTA) is partnering with SecureTRANSIT Inc ., of Halifax, Nova Scotia to provide Advance Passenger Information System (APIS) processing for over one-hundred international customers. Established for commercial airline and vessel operators, API enhances border security by providing government agencies with pre-arrival and departure manifest data on all flights, passengers, crew members, and cargo.

CTA will be incorporating SecureTRANSIT’s APISdirect™ into their current APIS workflow. The SecureTRANSIT suite provides front and back-end integration of APIS processing services for airlines, vendors, and legacy systems. The solution will serve as the replacement for APIS processing currently performed by CTA's FOS/NT system. The SecureTRANSIT APIS suite will work alongside existing CTA FOS/NT system to produce the mandatory APIS documents. The solution eliminates manual tasks and maintains government compliancy with the United States, Canada, Mexico, Cuba, and the Caribbean Community (CARICOM). SecureTRANSIT will be providing APIS processing for over forty countries by Q108.

“CTA has an excellent history within the aviation industry" says SecureTRANSIT's Director of Marketing Peter Lawrence. "This partnership provides streamlined APIS compliancy to CTA customers including submissions to multiple countries, APIS reporting and real-time reconciliation”.
